"Dar tal-Kaptain Boutique is a truly magical place; by far the most special Au2rBnB experience my husband and I have shared over the years. It is a gorgeously refurbished old Gozotian farmhouse filled with charactered rooms and lovingly executed personal touches. A true gem of a home. As for the rooms, well, you can't go wrong. Each has its own flavour and 'vibe that is sure to give you a unique experience. The 'Nostalgia' room, for example, has a charming Victorian theme - and a bathtub fit for a king/queen! We stayed in the 'Tranquillity' suite and it began to feel like home to us (we were fortunate enough to have an extended stay here). Each room could basically serve as your own personal apartment. It was too cold/windy for us to utilize the pool, but it looked quite tempting irregardless! On to Peter and Warren themselves - you'd be hard-pressed to find two more gracious, welcoming, kind, and cultured hosts. They are a blast to talk with, be it over one of their delicious breakfasts or simply if you want to know more about Gozo and the goings on here. Warren is a wealth of information regarding aĺl things Gozo, be it at a suggestion for a stunning nature walk or an off the beaten path town or unique place to eat. Again, I can't stress how many times these two went above and beyond to assist us or simply to just make us feel at home. They treat you like family and I feel my husband and Iegt with two very special friends. So if you are at all mulling over whether or not to stay at this particular abode, you can stop right now. You have found your place! Many thanks to both Peter and Warren! We'll miss staying with you, but hope to see you around sometime :)"

"This is a 5 star plus BnB. Peter and Warren have opened up their home with love, passion and attention to every detail. The BnB over looks The Ghasri Valley; there are beautiful views, wonderful art works in every nook and cranny, a serene pool, comfortable beds and the best gourmet breakfast in Malta. Also being wonderful and interesting hosts Peter and Warren will give you detailed informational about the local beaches and restaurants. Take their recommendations and don't forget to mention their names because that will almost always guarantee you a sea side seat."

This past Easter/two weeks we had some fantastic guests. Very often guests leave doodles and paintings and messages in our guestbooks, left in each room, which serve to remind us why we do this job. These tokens and souvenirs have often brought a tear or two to our eyes. Guests cross over the threshold as 'strangers' but leave as part of an extended family who have touched our hearts. Now entering our third summer, we have been so so lucky and blessed with the people who have chosen to be our guests. We have learnt so much over our breakfast conversations and feel ever so grateful for the nurturing exchanges that have helped to keep island fever at bay!. "We had a fantastic time at Dar tal-Kaptan! Peter and Warren made us feel instantly welcome and attended to our every need - such as organising bicycles for us to hire and driving us to the bus stop to ensure we didn't miss it on our way home. The rooms are decorated beautifully and are very comfortable (we loved the stylish differences between them). A true highlight was a dip in the pool and jacuzzi after dark - the lighting was truly atmospheric. All in all we had a lovely stay and highly recommend Dar tal-Kaptan, you will leave feeling relaxed and wanting to return!"
"We wish we could have stayed longer! Peter and Warren have such a welcoming home and they are such gracious hosts who can't do enough for you. The bedrooms are lovingly decorated and are very large with wonderful views over the countryside. There are many beautiful areas of the house to relax in, a great pool and breakfast is in the tranquil outdoor patio. Thank you for allowing us to share your home (with such an interesting history!) and we really appreciated your kindness, generosity and company!"

"No Detail is small....Peter und Warren haben diesen Grundsatz eines perfekten Gastgebers verinnerlicht! Die Ankunft , nachts (!) um 2:30 haben uns herzlich willkommen geheißen. Uns ihr wundervolles Haus gezeigt! Das Zimmer, oder besser gesagt, die Suite gezeigt. Die Unterkunft ist perfekt eingerichtet, die Symbiose aus alt und neu, das Design, die Ausstattung, ich glaube kaum, dass ein Luxushotel da mithalten kann! Das Frühstück am Morgen: einfach perfekt. Die liebevolle Zubereitung des Frühstücks in der wunderschönen Umgebung , kaum zu toppen. die liebevolle Art und Weise, wie dieses Haus eingerichtet ist, zieht sich mit der Art und Weise, wie die beiden Gastgeber mit ihren Gästen umgehen, durch. Wenn man eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft sucht, kommt man daran nicht vorbei. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, bald dort wieder Zeit verbringen zu dürfen. Ich wünsche beiden viele nette Gäste, die dies zu schätzen wissen, und hoffe, immer wieder Unterschlupf finden zu können"

"Don't trust the pictures online. What you will find at Peter and Warren's place is much better than anything you can expect - lovely hosts who really make you feel home. Peter and Warren offer great breakfast, they give helpful hints and are open for conversations. The pool, the rooms, the terrace - dar tal-Kaptan just the perfect place to relax."
"Our experience with Peter and Warren at Dar tal-Kaptan was perfection! It was the perfect place to stay for our Honeymoon adventure! The location was ideal for us and staying with them provided us an authentic and beautifully rustic experience. Our private suite & terrace was amazing and the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate after our day adventures around the island. When we booked Dar tal-Kaptan, we were so looking forward to our stay with Peter & Warren and they did not disappoint! Our breakfasts with them were lovely and chatting with them upon our arrival over drinks was a wonderful welcome, as was the bottle of bubbles awaiting us in celebration of our marriage! Both my husband and I have been singing their praises since our departure! Also, they were so communicative, understanding and helpful when I had accidentally booked our stay for May, instead of June, much appreciated as we did not want to miss our time there! our only regret is that we did not have more time to hang around, lounge at the pool and socialize!"
